Toda la gente de la tierra es mi gente!!!!
Toda la gente de la tierra es mi gente,
sin frontera , sin diferencia de color de piel,
rasgo social o posicion economica.
Todos somos humanos
y eso es lo unico que importa
nacemos de la misma forma: desnudos
y sin importar si fuimos buenos o malos
justos o injustos
en nuestro viaje de partida
nos vamos sin maletas.
Toda la gente de la tierra es mi gente,
no importa que idioma, lenguaje o dialecto
usemos para comunicarnos,
tenemos el lenguaje universal del amor, de la musica,
esas crean los elementos necesarios
para unificar a la raza humana.
Solo soy humana.
Toda la gente de la tierra es mi gente,
todo el azul del cielo,
todas las aguas del oceano,
los amaneceres y atardeceres,
las flores, los arboles, los pajaros y aves,
las montanas y los rios
son regalados por igual a los humanos.
Toda la gente de la tierra es mi gente.

without borders, without distinction of color,

Patria, Minerva y Maria Teresa "The Butterflies"

The International Day Against Violence Towards Women was accepted on December 1999. At the 54th session of the United Nations General Assembly was adopted Resolution 54/134. This resolution declared November 25th the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This day was chosen because on November 25th, 1960 is when the three Mirabal sisters, Patria, Minerva, and Maria Teresa, from Dominican Republic were violently assassinated for their political activism. The sisters, known as the "Unforgettable Butterflies," became a symbol of the crisis of violence against women in Latin America. This date was chosen to commemorate their lives and promote global recognition of gender violence, and has been observed in Latin America since the 1980s. "When you mistreat a woman you stop being a man" / "Cuando maltratas a una mujer dejas de ser un hombre"
